The Raw Honey Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

20 years our raw honey journey started high in the Spanish Pyrenees in a heavenly wilderness with a chance discovery of some incredible honey that was unlike anything we’d ever tasted before – a complete contrast to the bland supermarket honey that we thought was honey. How wrong were we!

Here I’m going to share with you how the journey started and the stories along the way in my search for the best raw honey available.  A journey I started with my girlfriend Karen, who later became my wife.  Now I walk this journey alone.

It’s become a mission to seek out the best honey from small scale artisan beekeepers and to spread the word about raw honey – so that people know (once again) how real honey tastes.

When you think that bees pollinate many of the crops that are key to human survival, and 90% of wildflowers, you realise how important they are to life. In parts of China pollination now has to be done by hand because of the decimation of insect life through pesticides. Buying ethically produced honey – from beekeepers like Antonio Simon (below) is a step on the way to protecting honeybees, whose numbers have diminished greatly in recent years.
